Valley Forge

We went to visit Valley Forge and had a lot of fun. It is a huge park with lots of different things to look at, children's activities, and a walking path through the park.

Here are little cabins to illustrate where the soldiers lived when camped at Valley Forge.

The house behind us is where George Washington was headquartered and lived beginning in January 1778 and where he commanded the army while at Valley Forge.

This is the Redding Train Station, better known as the Redding Railroad in Monopoly.

We went to visit my brother and Aubrey must have thought their house was too light to take a nap. She decided to put a blanket over her head while she slept.

Cereal sale! 26 boxes for $26. Pretty good sale, eh?!

Aunt Carrie gave Hailey a cute outfit and fun toy for her birthday.

Auntie Katie gave Hailey cute new outfits for her birthday!

Blocks blocks blocks!

Hailey's first birthday celebration. Presents! Both us and Paul's Dad gave her blocks as gifts. Now the girls have enough blocks to build a city if they like!

I made us an ice cream cake and covered it in whip cream.

Hailey's yummy cake!!! She really dug in and enjoyed herself, after a little initial encouragement by me.

Paul's dad came to visit. It was so much fun to have him here and the girls loved reading stories with him!

Yes, Aubrey really is this cute! She is so positive and helpful. She is also very polite. She rarely forgets to say "please" and "thank you" and always lets me know how cute I look.

We went to the Washington DC Temple and it was amazing. It is enormous inside and out and absolutely beautiful! I am the little shivering dot in front of the temple.
