Hailey just wants to say thank you Papa J for the beautiful dress. She just had to try it on the minute it came.

Morning Rituals
Aubrey loves her bumble bee costume and asks to wear it almost every day. When Paul gets ready in the morning and starts to brush his teeth Aubrey will ask to brush her teeth too. Paul gets out her toothbrush and, in the middle of brushing his own teeth, will sit down and brush hers. While Paul is brushing Aubrey's teeth, she grabs the toothbrush hanging out of his mouth and brushes his teeth as well. We have sparkly clean teeth in this family!

Salt Lake for the summer
Paul has received a wonderful opportunity to work with a great law firm in Salt Lake City over the summer. We are excited to visit all our friends and family while we are there. I am also so proud of Paul as he will be filling a position on the board of the Journal of Corporate Law. He has worked so hard and is not only a great student but also the best husband and Dad in the whole world! The other night he got up with Aubrey at 4am when she fell off her toddler bed, then got up with Hailey at 6am to feed her so I could sleep in. Isn't he the best?!

My mom came to visit when baby Hailey was born. She was such a tremendous help and I miss her so much already!

Snug as a Bug
Hailey loves to be wrapped up in blankets; she usually doesn't love to be sleeping alone. This picture is nice because we got her to be content in her crib for a little while.

Hailey's Here!
We are so excited that Hailey Beth has finally arrived to join our family. She was born on Feb 20th, 2009 at 2:41pm. Labor and delivery went quickly--compared to Aubrey's birth; we went to the hospital at 8:00 am, had pitocin (inducing medication) started at around 9:30 am, and Ashley's water was broken at 11:30am. From there it was just waiting. We are glad that they did not have to do an emergency C-Section; for a few minutes, Hailey's heartrate went down a lot and they thought Ashley might need a C-Section, but thankfully Hailey's heartbeat returned to normal. Now that she is here, we are glad she and mom are doing well--at least considering neither is getting much sleep. Hailey weighed in at 8 pounds 12.7 ounces and is 20 and 3/4 inches long! She was big in every measurement they did--head size, weight, and length. Thanks to everyone for all your support!

World's Biggest Truck Stop!!!
Over Christmas break we went and visited the World's Largest Truck Stop! Yes, it is in Iowa! It is the most amazing truck stop anyone has ever seen. They have a Truck-o-Mat (laundry mat) and one of the above pictures show all the facilities they have for truckers...pretty amazing! One picture is blurry and is of the truck museum. There is also a picture of Paul and Aubrey in front of a yellow truck, which was showcased in the trucking showroom. (If our smiles look painful while we were outside, it is because of the bitter cold and wind...it took our breath away.)

Herbert Hoover Museum
Over Christmas break we visited the Herbert Hoover Museum. I didn't know a lot about President Hoover, but after the visit realized he was a great president. He had a lot of great ideals and principles. However, Black Friday and the great depression hit during his presidency which put a great damper on things. But he was a good man. The pictures are Paul and Aubrey fishing with Herbert Hoover and sitting at a remake of the cabin he went to for rest and relaxation. The museum also had an Elvis Christmas Display, so we had to take a picture with The King.

Big Girl Bed
After Christmas we set up a toddler bed for Aubrey. She LOVES it! Nap time has turned into play time, however she is really good at going to bed at night. My baby girl is getting so big! Aubrey also entered nursery at church the Sunday after Christmas. It is amazing how quickly they grow.

Christmas Morning
More presents.
Aubrey was very neat when she opened presents. She would tear a piece of wrapping paper off and then hand it to us to throw away.
Breakfast anyone?

Aubrey did great on Christmas morning opening her presents!
